I feel God’s pleasure when I paint.

Growing up was turbulent to say the least. There were challenges within and without and art was always one of those ways that I could naturally quiet my mind. There was a time when oil paints were too expensive and BIC™ mechanical pencils and Crayola™ water color paints were my only accessible mediums. But with the support of a loving husband, I have had the opportunity to reach for my dreams. And though ,for many years, the rocky road of life took me away from the easel, I always seem to find my way back. In the words attributed to Eric Liddell, an Olympic athlete, "I believe that God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run I feel his pleasure." Someone once told me artists don’t make any money and you will never make money as an artist; But money or not, I do art because it’s in my blood and I feel God’s pleasure when I paint.
